Project Description

WINDERMERE RESIDENCE

With a classic Anderson Designed Northwest Contemporary home located at the end of a private drive; our mission was to honor the architecture and at the same time, bringing the home into the 21st century. To create a contrast with all the woodwork and exposed beams, we chose a crisp white wall color. The color palate and furniture chosen are subtle and serene to play off the exterior environment. The custom light fixtures are a major focal point in the residence. The dining fixture has 90 hand blow glass drops, double layered to capture the light at the bottom of each drop and creating a sparkling liquid effect, elevates the elegance of the room; while acting as an extension of the exterior environment. The entryway fixture is a modular design constructed by blown glass disks stacked upon each other. Illuminating from within, this fixture too plays as an extension of the lake side environment with its organic and sculptural presence. To tie both areas together, local artist, Julie Divine, created a custom piece for the top of the stair landing that reflects the overall warm color palate of the woodwork. From beginning to end, the original architecture was reflected in every decision we made to update the interior design of the home.
