Mid-Century Bathrooms

These bathrooms are in a mid-century modern home built in 1961 in the Portland Oregon area. Both bathrooms had the original custom built-in cabinets in tact. We were able to repurpose them by raising the finished height, refinishing with glossy paint and adding new hardware. In the yellow bathroom, we created the illusion of a larger space by adding a custom floor to ceiling mirror with an antiqued silver leaf frame. We created a crisp look by pairing fresh white subway tiles and cabinets with a warm chocolate quartz countertop. In the blue bathroom, we used mosaic tile to create texture and visual interest. We painted the cabinet gloss black and balanced the room with a relaxing blue wall color.
